Many of the trees at the Northurst Arboretum planted in 2011 (1st year of planting) were 10 or more years old at the time, and their present day magnificence is a testament to our commitment and joy in creating a legacy for future generations.

Northurst Arboretum is the dream of Dr. Thomas George Salopek. For the past twelve years he introduced into the Pembina region of Central Alberta, trees and other plants, from other parts of the world and which are non-native to Alberta. His vision is to provide an unique and long-lasting gift for future generations. The arboretum is managed by Northurst Arboretum Foundation, a Non-Profit Private Company. The registered office location is at 17731 103 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5S 1N8. If you want to contact Dr Salopek, email: director@northurst.ca.
